I'M BUILDING MY WEDDING PORTFOLIO.

I've been photographing people and everyday life on 35mm film for years. I'm now taking that documentary approach into weddings, and I'm looking for a small number of couples who would like their wedding photographed entirely on 35mm film while I build my wedding portfolio.

For these first weddings, I'm not charging my usual photography fee. I'm only asking couples to cover the direct cost of film, developing and scanning, which comes to £525 for a full day, plus travel where necessary. For a full day, I’ll shoot a minimum of 10 rolls of 35mm film and you’ll receive a carefully curated set of at least 70 finished photographs, delivered as high-resolution JPEGs through a private online gallery. In return, I’d ask for permission to use a selection for my wedding portfolio and website. Half-day coverage is also available for smaller weddings. Please enquire for details.

I don't have a wedding portfolio yet, and I don't want to pretend otherwise. I am, however, an established documentary photographer. My work is represented by the British Culture Archive, has twice been selected as a winner of Portrait of Britain, and in 2026 was selected for the Winston Taylor Photo Portrait Prize exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.

If you like my work and can imagine a similar documentary aesthetic applied to the atmosphere and celebration of a wedding, I'd love to hear from you. The result will be a natural record of the day, photographed in colour and black and white, with the grain, character and subtle cinematic quality of 35mm film.
